The Giant Company announced on Tuesday the appointment of Rebecca Lupfer as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In her new role, Lupfer will be responsible for the marketing of the grocery store chain owned by Ahold Delhaize, as well as commercial planning and pricing. She will report directly to The Giant Company’s President, John Ruane.
Lupfer joined The Giant Company, headquartered in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 2018 as Director of Marketing Planning. Since then, she has held various positions, including Vice President of Central Store Marketing, Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Division, and most recently, Chief Financial Officer.
Before joining The Giant Company, which operates brands such as Giant, Martin’s, and Giant Heirloom Market, Lupfer worked as a Business Analyst at Ahold Financial Services and as a Seasonal Marketing Portfolio Leader at Ahold USA.

Lupfer also serves on the board of directors for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the Food Marketing Academy, and the Food Marketing Education Foundation at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Additionally, she acts as the executive sponsor for the company’s Women’s Business Resource Group.
