Dulles, VA — Tecnológico de Monterrey reaffirmed its commitment to global engagement and educational innovation by actively participating in the Grand Retail Show 2025, one of the most important retail events in the United States.

The institution was represented by Pablo Jair Gonzalez , Vice President of Future Learning, who joined the event as a keynote speaker during the “Latino Retail Forum.” This forum brought together retail executives, international representatives, and key stakeholders from across the Hispanic retail landscape.

In his presentation, Gonzalez shared the university’s global vision and its efforts to promote academic and business internationalization through innovative, high-impact programs.

“At Tecnológico de Monterrey, we are deeply committed to global education. Beyond our traditional international programs, we are building innovative platforms that enable students and partners to engage in projects with global reach,” he noted.

One of the event’s major announcements was the launch of the “Retail Academy,” a new educational division developed in collaboration with The Hispanic Retail Chamber of Commerce (HRCOC). The initiative aims to support ongoing education for HRCOC members and their families, with a focus on professionalizing the Hispanic retail sector across the U.S.

This partnership underscores the Tec’s mission to develop leaders at all levels and contribute to the empowerment of Hispanic communities through quality education.

A Legacy of Vision and Impact

Tecnológico de Monterrey was founded on September 6, 1943, in Monterrey, Mexico, by business leader Eugenio Garza Sada, inspired by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Over the last eight decades, it has grown into a leading university network with over 30 campuses across Mexico, 4 specialized schools, and 13 international liaison offices, backed by corporations such as CEMEX, FEMSA, and Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma.

In 1950, the Tec earned accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in the United States, reinforcing its international recognition.

During his remarks, Gonzales encouraged the audience to stay tuned for future announcements regarding the Retail Academy.

“We will soon be sharing more information about this exciting initiative, which will provide high-quality, accessible, and practical training programs for retail professionals and their families,” he concluded.
