Miami / FL — 2026
Edgardo Matiello, CCO and Co-Founder of Cooperativa INTECOOP, highlighted the work Odoo and Intecoop are developing in the technology space, specifically focused on strengthening the structural capabilities of the retail sector.
“Today, retail requires much more than simply digitizing processes. It needs to integrate its entire operation under a technological architecture that allows retailers to control inventory, margins, purchasing, and data in real time. In that sense, the work Odoo and Intecoop are doing is key,” said Matiello.
According to Matiello, both organizations are working in close coordination to implement comprehensive solutions that combine the strength of the Odoo ERP ecosystem with Intecoop’s expertise in consulting, sector-specific adaptation, and operational implementation.
Specialized Services for Supermarkets and Retail Chains
The joint initiative is aimed at supermarkets, specialty stores, regional chains, and purchasing groups seeking to professionalize their management and increase competitiveness.
Among the technology services currently being developed and implemented are:
• Integrated ERP systems for retail
• Real-time synchronized Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Centralized inventory management and automated replenishment
• Purchasing management with margin control
• Integration with e-commerce platforms
• Business Intelligence and data analytics tools
• Unified financial and accounting management
• CRM solutions for customer loyalty and targeted marketing
“When a retailer integrates its operation, it stops managing intuition and starts managing data. That difference has a direct impact on profitability,” Matiello stated.
Technology as Competitive Infrastructure
Matiello emphasized that the sector faces structural challenges, including margin pressure, the need for logistics efficiency, omnichannel integration, and precise financial control.
“Independent retailers and regional chains need tools at the level of large corporations, but with flexible implementation adapted to their reality. That is the approach being developed: robust technology that is both accessible and strategic.”
He also noted that this initiative has potential for expansion across both the United States and Latin America, supporting business growth, modernization, and consolidation.
“The transformation of retail is not a future trend. It is a present requirement. And the right technological infrastructure is the foundation upon which sustainable growth is built,” he concluded.
