PRESS RELEASE – HRCOC
Washington, DC | Saturday, February 14
HRCOC Appoints Pablo Jair Elías as Executive Director of The Retail Academy to Advance the Professionalization of Hispanic Retail in the U.S.
The Hispanic Retail Chamber of Commerce (HRCOC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pablo Jair Elías as Executive Director of The Retail Academy, an initiative designed to elevate management standards, leadership capabilities, and competitiveness within the Hispanic supermarket ecosystem in the United States.
This appointment reflects a clear strategic vision: Hispanic retail continues to grow in scale, influence, and sophistication, yet it requires a new phase of structured professionalization, executive education, and adoption of global best practices.
In this context, Pablo Elías experience at Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) represents a significant strategic asset. During his tenure at one of Latin America’s most prestigious academic institutions, he led the expansion of executive education programs and corporate solutions aimed at senior leadership, developing training models focused on organizational transformation, operational efficiency, and strategic leadership.
His work extended beyond academic commercialization. He designed and implemented university–industry partnership frameworks focused on solving real challenges within the productive sector. He contributed to the structuring of programs for executives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, integrating continuous improvement methodologies, strategic analysis, and value-based consultative sales models.
He has generated commercial pipelines exceeding USD $850K in ARR during high-growth periods, led supplier development programs for industry, and spearheaded international expansion initiatives. His profile combines strategic vision, market analysis, cross-functional team leadership, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
This is precisely the approach that The Retail Academy seeks to bring to Hispanic retail in the United States:
– Training grounded in real industry case studies
– Education aligned with operational results
– Leadership development for owners, buyers, and store managers
– Professionalization of commercial and procurement processes
– Adoption of modern management standards
Pablo Elías international experience in both B2B and B2C markets, combined with his ability to structure commercial pipelines, develop strategic partnerships, and lead multifunctional teams, provides an integrated vision that connects education, business strategy, and execution.
The Retail Academy will not be merely a training platform, but a transformation engine for the Hispanic supermarket ecosystem, aligned with the competitive demands of the U.S. market.
With this appointment, HRCOC consolidates a new institutional phase focused on collaboration and on building an increasingly professional, structured, and strategic retail sector—strengthening the entrepreneurial leadership of the Hispanic community in the United States.
