Brazil Maintains Solid Growth in Exports to the United States Despite Tariffs

Miami FL, September 2025 – Brazilian exports to the United States continue to show positive performance in 2025, consolidating Brazil’s position as a strategic trading partner in the North American market.

According to official data, between January and July 2025, Brazil exported US$30.94 billion to the US, with a trade surplus of US$4.89 billion. In July, exports reached US$3.71 billion, representing nearly 12% of the country’s total exports for that month. Compared to 2024, there was a 5% increase in volume.

    Highlighted Sectors

Coffee: Although coffee faces a 50% tariff increase on certain products, it remains a strategic component in bilateral trade. Exports decreased 46% in August, from 562,723 to 301,099 60-kg bags.

Beef: Brazil maintains its leadership in beef supplies to the US, despite health restrictions in some states.

Aircraft: Aircraft exports show sustained growth, consolidating Brazil’s presence in the North American aeronautical sector.

    Impact of Tariffs and Outlook
Despite the tariffs imposed by the US, which particularly affected coffee, footwear, and textiles, Brazil continues to seek to diversify its markets toward China, Mexico, and the European Union. Furthermore, the government is expected to intensify negotiations with the US to reduce trade barriers and strengthen the bilateral flow of goods.

“Brazil maintains strategic trade with the United States, supporting both producers and the export industry, and seeks new opportunities to diversify its international presence,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
